Mini-Vacation

This past weekend I was able to make it up to DC for a good friends birthday and I had a blast. I have never been to D.C. in A- when it's not snowing and B I have never been with friends. It was pretty much the perfect weekend. How could that image not make you smile? I also found this cool needlework picture on our way home, they had so many great colors but I think yellow was the best choice. Now I just need to find the perfect frame for it.

Soggy Morning...Sunshine Afternoon

The weather can be so unpredictable in North Carolina.  My relationship with the weather is indeterminable.  Therefore, I find the best way to deal is to enjoy and look for the good in every experience.  

Driving into work yesterday there was a pleasant sprinkle of rain drops.  Rain can become such a vessel for conceptual images, ideas and design.  Take for example 3Form - an unique material company. This company uses its surroundings to bring us some of the coolest materials in the market while allowing us to do almost anything we want with it!

While the day went on so did the rain.  Driving home was a breezy sunshine ride!

The sunshine in the fall can bring out the most spectacular colors of the season.  For instance these bright colorful pillows would lighten and liven up almost any space. They seem so happy!

Trend: Book Covers

Highpoint Furniture Market is currently in full swing and I have seen a lot in my past two trips this year. This year I really enjoyed seeing all the different ways the book cases were done.I have noticed books taking on a whole new part of decorating lately. The new Barns and Noble Classic Leather Bound Collection would look great all together.

Although there is something to be said about having actual old books and not just books that are supposed to look old. Eventually I would love my book case to look like this with the titles written on the side.
